A New Cohort of FAD’H Soldiers Leaves for Martinique.

A new cohort of soldiers from the Forces Armées d’Haïti (FAD’H) left Haiti on Saturday February 22 for training in Martinique, according to a recent announcement. This initiative is part of a military cooperation program between France and Haiti, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the country’s armed forces.

Context
Cooperation between France and Haiti aims to support the reconstruction and strengthening of the FAD’H. In recent months, several groups of Haitian soldiers have already benefited from training in Martinique, notably with the 33rd Marine Infantry Regiment (33e RiMA). These courses cover skills such as urban combat, shooting techniques and combat first aid.

International support
The Haitian government expresses its gratitude for France’s support in this endeavor. The French ambassador to Haiti, Antoine Michon (@AntoineMichon1), is playing a key role in these efforts. Minister Jodel Michel Moise (@JMichelMoise) also stressed the importance of French support in rebuilding Haiti’s armed forces.

Strategic objectives
These training courses are crucial to improving the operational capabilities of the FAD’H in the face of Haiti’s current security challenges. The country aims to significantly increase its military strength over the next few years. International collaboration is essential to achieve this goal.

In short, this new cohort joins a series of efforts to modernize and strengthen the Haitian army, thanks to partnerships with several friendly countries such as France.
