The inaugural day of the Special 2025 Championship in Haiti, scheduled for March 16, 2025, was postponed at the last minute due to a critical issue involving the unavailability of referees.

The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announced that referees failed to appear because their demands, including increased match fees and the provision of promised new equipment, had not been met. These demands have reportedly been pending since last year, highlighting ongoing challenges in the organization and management of Haitian football competitions. This unexpected delay underscores broader concerns about resource allocation and administrative efficiency within the FHF.
