MSS Force Commander Receives IFAKs from Germany

On March 24, 2025, MSS Force Commander Godfrey Otunge received a donation of 1,000 Individual First Aid Kits (IFAKs) from the German government. This contribution aims to bolster the medical preparedness and operational efficiency of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM) in Haiti.

Key Highlights of the Donation

  • Enhanced Medical Preparedness: The high-quality IFAKs are designed to improve the immediate medical response capabilities of MSSM officers, ensuring better survival rates for injured personnel during critical operations.
  • Training and Teamwork: MSSM officers have undergone extensive training in the use of these kits for individual medical care and buddy aid, which enhances teamwork and operational effectiveness.
  • Morale Boost: The donation serves as a significant morale booster for the officers, reinforcing their commitment to restoring peace and stability in Haiti.

Call for Further Support

As the mission progresses, the establishment and operationalization of Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) are crucial. These bases will bring security services closer to the local population, enhancing overall safety. Stakeholders are encouraged to continue their support for the MSSM to ensure the success of these efforts.

The MSSM extends its gratitude to the German government for this invaluable support, which underscores the international community’s commitment to aiding Haiti in its quest for stability and peace.
